Reasons Why I Joined SwagBucks

I used to work. In fact I used to bring in more money weekly than my husband. So, when we made the decision for me to be a stay at home mom I had to learn quite quickly that his money is shared money. Not that this was a huge problem considering we shared one account anyway. But, I had to really work on extra, needless spending. Like morning Starbucks trips, or Etsy finds (very very dangerous!). I found ways around these little pleasures I thought I couldn't live without, but every once in a while when I wanted to splurge a little, found myself feeling guilty. I would always be thinking, "what did I do to deserve this money?" Now, I have an amazing hubby who did not care if I spent $5 here and there, but I still felt like I should be contributing someway other than just taking care of the kids and house. Therefore, I joined a site called SwagBucks!
Now, you may be thinking that these online, work from home sites are scams, and I too was the same way. SwagBucks is not your typical work-from-home site. Actually, it in no way will replace an income. However, for those who find themselves with spare time to browse the internet and take online surveys and enjoy a little reward from time to time, this is the thing for you! The idea behind SwagBucks is quite simple. You watch videos, play games, answer survey questions, sign up for trials on products, or just search the internet and earn points. For every 100 points (swagbucks) you earn $1 towards a reward giftcard. Of course it does take some time to rack up points to earn some good rewards, but for me this is a great tool for killing time and falling asleep at night on those nights where sleep seems impossible to achieve! They also have an app that you can download on your phone so you can waste time, I mean earn rewards, while you are waiting in line somewhere or sitting at the doctor's office. Did I mention that you can also earn points while you shop online? Well, you can! I haven't had the opportunity to try this feature yet, but all reviews I have read seem to be positive.
When I first joined and acquired enough points to cash in for a gift card I did so right away, just to be sure it worked and I was not wasting my time. I had about 356 Swagbucks, which is only about $3.56, but I had the opportunity to cash in for a $3 Amazong gift card. Doing so I was hesitant because I am always fearing being ripped off in the back of my mind. I got an email saying it would take 10-14 days to process my reward. Immediately I thought there goes that $3 gift card, but within 3 days I had an email that read "Redeem Your Gift Card Now!" I was so excited - in fact I don't ever recall being that excited over $3! But now I am reassured that the program works (and I have $3 on my amazon account ready to use!!).
I will continue to use SwagBucks to earn a little extra spending money on the side, especially being reassured that it actually works! Amazon was just for trial purposes, I intend to use SwagBucks to load up my PayPal account since I have a debit card for their company. Whatever you plan to do with your extra cash is up to you! I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do!
